Disaster-relief and resilience in islands

Monday, 23
15:00 - 16:15
Room 2

Islands are exposed to different risks, mostly related to natural hazards, that pressure their quality of life. Resilience strategies have become part of the global agenda, particularly due to the emerging reality of climate change, and islands face the need to understand how to prepare their services and territories in case of disasters and how to build stronger capacities for relief and reconstruction.
